Ask HN: Why is TikTok Web trying to access computer sensors?

Trying to use Tiktok Web with a new, human account, Javascript is on, cookies rejected. I don't have Tiktok mobile or desktop app installed.

I've noticed that "Follow" button doesn't work at all from Tiktok Web. It seems like it worked but upon refreshing the page or looking at your Profile to see followed accounts, it comes back empty.

Plus, on a browser isn't it weird to request "access to sensors"?

Why is this happening?
