Actual title is 2 robotaxi services seeking to bypass safety concerns and expand in San Francisco face pivotal vote, edited title suggests some? all? robotaxi services are "seeking to expand face vote" whatever that might be, when in fact they're facing a vote by a body of regulators.

Wasnt an edited title for any reason beyond I was limited by the amount of characters HN allows. I tried to summarize it and still have it be sort of accurate.

I wasn't blaming anyone but thought it was fun to share that it was that one missing word that you could normally drop from a sentence turns out to be essential to avoid leading people down a garden path here.

I think HN should totally update the limit to something like 160 characters. Many headlines except the most click-baity ones ("Sun to explode tomorrow!") exceed 80 characters.
