I hear that :/ I just re-enabled a handful of unregistered ideas if you'd like to give it a try without signing up (refresh the app). It was getting hit so much that requiring registration was perhaps an easy way to reduce the API calls and simultaneously grow the user base, but I get that's not ideal for quickly trying it out on HN.

Just have a cache of 100 pre-canned ideas and it will cost you nothing to demo and give people a feel for what this is
