This makes me sad

The lack of focus is keeping people beating the dead horse that's XOrg

So no, X will never work properly on Asahi. Because it's buggy, it has been buggy for over 8 years, nobody has fixed it in that time, and certainly nobody is going to go fix it now

Obviously

This is one of the most frustrating things on the linux world. The lack of focus, the lack of a collective effort of pushing to make these very overdue changes

And I have to give that as much as Pulseaudio and systemd were a pain, they eventually moved Linux beyond the "70's Unix Machine mentality"
