Tell HN: Robert Walters Incompetence and Disrespect for Companies and Candidates

I want to share my recent experience with Robert Walters, a recruitment agency that has shown gross incompetence and disrespect for candidates.

They invited my wife to interview for a position at a recognizable digital security and credential issuance company with 2,800+ employees through Robert Walters. They scheduled an interview for her but told her to travel 1.5 hours (each way) for it.

When my wife arrived for the interview, she was surprised to find out that the interviewers had someone else’s resume in front of them. Not only did this waste everyone’s time (my wife, a company’s HR representative, and two interviewers in leadership positions who were involved in the process), but it also wasted thousands of dollars in recruitment fees.

This is unacceptable behavior from a recruitment agency that claims to be professional and dedicated to helping candidates find the right job. My wife took time off from work and spent money on transportation to attend this interview, only to be treated with such disrespect.

I urge anyone who is considering using Robert Walters’ services to think twice before doing so. Their incompetence and lack of respect for candidates are not worth the risk.
