Ask HN: Where are all the calendar-format event aggregators?

I have a site http://wetindeyshele.com/ which is basically a calendar that collects upcoming startup-related events. I'm surprised, though, that there aren't more calendar-aggregator sites online, or at least ones that use the format. Is there a reason why they're not more popular?
