Ask HN: How do you go about getting legal advice for a business/startup?

Not asking for legal advice but am asking "how to get" legal advice. Checked out the services from Legal Zoom and it seems like they're, among many thing, a Legal as a Service type platform where you pay a subscription and can access help when necessary.

I'm currently just seeking an initial consultation type thing and have a list of questions to get legal guidance (go/no-go) on - as opposed to seeking out long term help (but that would be nice maybe in the future).

Should one seek a law office in their local area and just start asking?

What are the other alternatives and are there pros/cons to things?
