Ask HN: Where did the “unread” marker go?

I've been using HN for a while and asked to be one of those with the "unread" marker (an orange vertical line to the left of unread posts).

It stopped appearing today, or maybe yesterday.

Where did it go? Did I miss some sort of announcement?
