Not sure what your hating on the google iOS apps for. I'm an android user, but in all seriousness, my iPhone wielding friends were all excited with the new gmail app.

According to them it's not as feature rich, but it seems to be working solidly. Each there own I guess.

Any iOS user can tell you how buggy Google Voice's app was. Their Gmail app was just a web wrapper with push notifications, which didn't even work so Google had to pull the app from the store.
