Perhaps if our elders did literally anything at all about the climate, children and younger generations wouldn’t be so scared.

But we’ve come to the conclusion that the Earth is being ran into the ground so some boomers can have their yachts.

Just plain denialism.

The IPCC reports are presented in a quite counterfactual manner.

The IPCC presents different possible scenarios at each report ; the first report voluntarily played down the risks, for many scientists were afraid to be perceived as fearmongers.

What happened? The worst scenario possible according to that first report.

The recently published second report presents different possible scenarios, accordingly to the measures taken or not to nullify our emissions.

Globally, the trend of emissions meet the worst scenario of the second report. That's not fear mongering, that's science.

Let's not wear masks against Covid, it scares the children.

Our children need us to act against the climate dereliction. If we really acted on the issue, it would not afraid children.

Children are afraid of our inaction.
