The article does not reference cultures where alcohol has been consumed for several millennia without any significant harmful effects. Consider, Italy and middle east where the cultures have consumed wine for thousands of years and is even partaken during religious ceremonies. I am confused.

also doesn't mention religions which prohibits drinking of alcohol (Hinduism, Islam) because it is considered both harmful and intoxicating, which leads a man to commit sin due to lack of judgement, and how they have lived long healthy lives.
