To all cryptocurrency traders and investors on Hacker News,

SMESHED is a historical cryptocurrency tick data provider for modeling and backtesting.

After spending months downloading tick data from Binance to build my trading bots, a question pops up in my head: "How the hell does a normal trader get this kind of data?"

They don't know how to program, so they only buy it. But many providers I found focus on enterprise customers. As a result, they require expensive upfront payment to access data.

After talking with some traders on Twitter, I decided to build a system to get, normalize, and store data myself. And that is how SMESHED got started.

Currently, we have more than 3,500 currency pairs from six exchanges. We will add more exchanges in the future.
