The fact that secret behaviors can be well concealed within a ML generated model makes it critical to start defining what can and can't be tried.

It is already too late.

Emergent intelligences do not really need to be conscius to fully change the world.

Physical machines didn't needed it in the XIX century, neither logical machines - models - didn't needed it in the 2nd. decade of the XXI.

"Human beings can also learn a new task by being shown how to do it only a few times. Machines, so far, cannot. Currently, AI can be prompted – but not prompt itself – into action."

Humans trust a LOT in free will, but most of the total system of the world, don't need it at all.

The most curren and relevant example of logical machines and emergent intelligence, are corporations.

Not conscius, but incredibly intelligent, far more capable of solving complex problems than single conscius individuals and even extremely capable teams
