Of course i could set the clock to summer-time on my oven (in my case). But if i cant figure it out in 10 seconds i wont. I dont care enough.

It's the ratio of "usefulness of this feature" Vs "effort to setup and learn to use this feature".

The oven clock isn't very useful, so if it takes more than even a few seconds to figure out how to set, it isn't worth it.

An antipattern is to force the user's choice. For example to make an annoying nag screen "you haven't yet set the clock!" before any action the user does want to do to tip that ratio in favour of seeing the feature get used.
