TypeScript vs. JavaScript. What would a project manager prefer?

Hey guys! I am a very much technical guy with 18 years background as a PM.

And yes, I did google this question. But I want more insights.

For the new project we are into, we are about to choose whether to go with TS or stick to the old and confy JS.

Interested to hear your points of view and advice for me - the PM. Does it make any difference for me? What should I expect from devs if we go with either of techs?
