Ask HN: Anyone watch Mark Rober videos?

I saw a video of Mark Rober building a squirrel ninja obstacle course (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFZFjoX2cGg) I highly recommend it if you haven't seen it.

I do have an interest in trying to make these kind of projects but don't know where to get started. If anyone has resources for where to start learning, that would be awesome!
