The history of scientific progress shows that building new abstractions for complex ideas are key to generating enough insight to tackle more complex problems.

Just as today we throw around Fourier representations as old hat (key technology in digital compression algorithms), I’m excited to see where complex temporal/spatial polarization representations abstracted to ‘knots’ leads us.
