Ask HN: Things I can do with an old tablet

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3V lying around and I want to do something with it. My first preference is installing some flavor of linux on it but I have found no success in achieving that. I am familiar with the mobile phone hacks like rooting and installing a custom ROM and all. I am looking for all sorts of things that I can do with it.
