Apple Files Multi-touch Gesture Patent for iPhone 3G

Apple has filed a patent for a “Multi-touch Gesture Dictionary,” an invention (US Patent 20070177803) that introduces the notion of chords. According to Apple, the gesture dictionary can include a plurality of entries, each corresponding to a particular chord.
