Thank HN: Helped us stop a DDOS attack

Yesterday we were under a DDOS attack that cost us a significant chunk of change, not to mention a ding to our reputation. While IT were alternately scrambling about and yelling at our ISP I decided to check HN for any relevant threads.

Some great comments in there about preparing beforehand. Doh! A bit late for that, but down at the bottom there were a couple of testimonials for DOSArrest. We gave them a call and within a couple of hours we were literally back in business.

So a big thanks to tabman and karl9231 for the tip. If find yourself in the same situation, admit you (and most likely your ISP) are out of your depth, and call in the experts.
