Monitoring Tools for Batch Jobs

Hi

There are an abundance of tools for time series monitoring right now. But I'm struggling to find a good way to monitor overnight batch jobs. Eg we have hundreds - if is running slow, how do we alert or add to the list of "interesting things happening".
