Ask HN: Tools for legal documents development

Hi,

A legal case development seems close to an app development in terms of creating the right shape of text including many reviews and decisions made by a group of people.

I wonder if there are some tools (possibly other than word files circulating via email) which would bring some powers from code development to the legal case/text development.
