Reading euclid's elements

i've already mentioned that i have a burning desire to learn math from the ground up in my previous posts. to completely understand geometry is it worth reading ALL VOLUMES OF EUCLIDS ELEMENTS? if so how do you go about it?also suggest other excellent books on geometry.
