Ask HN: Is sharing data with Apple no longer optional? (macOS 10.13.4)

I just installed macOS 10.13.4. There used to be a "choose what data you share with Apple" screen that popped up after installing updates. It allowed you to disable analytics and other non-essential data collection.

That screen seems to be gone now and instead they show one that says they believe privacy is a human right so they made an icon for it (?!) showing you what data you share when. I clicked continue and logged into my account - the app store was still open and it immediately showed me the new icon alongside some text that explained that they create a profile based on my downloads etc. (As far as I can tell that popup is only shown once so I can't re-read the text.)

Anyway I fell like I just lost the option to opt-out of their analytics thing. Does anyone here now more about that?
