Is SEO still important for apps?

I'm trying to pick a name for my app. All the composite words I can think of are taken, which leaves me with generic words like Flare and Fable. It's not a big deal in the app store if I decide to do so.

I was wondering what if it would be detrimental if I got a domain like getflare.com (just an example, it's actually not available) or should I keep thinking of a unique word pair?
