Ask HN: Should my SaaS be pay-per-day?

I'm developing a SaaS product for the first time. (I just released https://thoughtwriter.org, which is the first component.) Since the product is meant to be used daily, I'm considering a model where users pay 10-100 cents for each day they use the app.

I could offer 10 days of use for free, as well.

Good things about it: 1. Use the product less, pay less 2. Stop using the product, stop paying (automatically) 3. Love the app & use it daily, then pay 0.50/day x 365 days = ~$180/year

Bad things: 1. Tracking payments is harder, more error-prone, and maybe contentious 2. Users think about cost every day, rather than monthly, which might be a pain

What do you think? Pay-per-day or something else?
