Problems in traveling to a new country or continent?

One problem esp. Solo Female and business travelers face is to find someone living in the city who can show them the city, recommend the best deals etc. And he or she is :

a. Not expensive

b. Interesting person to talk to on various topics

c. Safe

Couchsurfing or other platforms does not guarantee the above. What do you guys say?
