Ask HN: APM with New Relic or alternatives

Hey, I'm wondering if anyone is using New Relic, and if so to what degree and what your thoughts are? The basic toolset looks fairly priced, but being charged for the add ons you'll need, for example Insights, it looks like it could get pricey. What are some of the alternative APM solutions out there, particularly for cloud deployments. Any thoughts and prospective would be appreciated. Not sure if anyone has used https://sematext.com/spm/ or tried using CA APM in the cloud?
